Professor Sam Chow has more than 38 years of professional consulting and management experience in transportation planning and engineering in 17 countries in Asia Pacific, South Asia and Africa. He has held senior management positions in several international transportation consulting companies since 1996.
In Arup, Mr. Chow is an Arup Fellow leading the transport consulting group in East Asia Region. He was the Transport Portfolio Leader in East Asia (2022-2024) and was the Global Skill Leader in Transport Planning (2016-2022). His experience covers a wide range of areas in transport planning, traffic engineering, and logistics planning.
Mr. Chow is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Geography, University of Hong Kong (2021-2024) and was a Guest Professor of School of Civil Engineering and Transportation, South China University of Technology (2014-2017). He has been actively giving lectures at HKU, CUHK, PolyU, HKUST and MTR Academy in Hong Kong, Vietnamese-German University in Vietnam, and National Science and Technology Development Agency in Thailand.
